The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

⚡Magnesium is 75% lighter than steel and approximately 33% lighter than aluminum,. It will soon begin to be used in automobile chassis production.
🟢Today, magnesium casting machines are generally used in the production of parts weighing a few kilograms. LK Machinery and iDRA have made significant technological developments in this field. Both announced that they can produce magnesium casting parts up to 20 kg with their new machine called &#8216;Giga Plast&#8217;, paving the way for its use in the automotive industry. As we already know, Tesla scrapped the idea of an exoskeleton body for the Cybertruck. Tesla Cybertruck is definitely the most anticipated vehicle in near history, as <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.licarco.com/news/how-many-tesla-cybertruck-orders-are-there" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pre-order numbers</a> show. Design-wise, the long-waited all-electric pickup truck is already finished. Tesla has put Cybertruck in pre-production in late 2022. It will be out before the end of this summer, Elon Musk confirmed multiple times. But where is this popular electric pickup being made? Let&#8217;s find out!
Cybertruck is being made in Texas, United States, where Tesla&#8217;s largest factory Giga Texas stands. Tesla first began tooling for the Cybertruck in October 2022. The pilot production line was up and running in early 2023. In the last couple of months, dozens of production line robots and iDRA&#8217;s 9,000-ton giga-casting machines were delivered to Tesla. According to the automaker and its CEO Elon Musk&#8217;s statements, Cybertruck mass-production is still on track to begin sometime this summer.

<h2>How Many Cybertruck Will Be Made?</h2>
According to Tesla, Giga Texas is the only production plant for the Cybertruck. During Tesla&#8217;s 2023 Annual Shareholder Meeting, Elon Musk revealed that Tesla will produce anywhere between 250,000 to 500,000 Cybertrucks annually. Giga Texas will probably provide half of the planned Cybertruck production capacity. The other half ought to be reserved for another facility. But there are no plans for existing Tesla gigafactories to be involved in the electric pickup truck&#8217;s production. 
Tesla&#8217;s recent announcement confirms that Giga Texas currently produces 5,000 Model Ys in a single week, which translates to an annual production of 250,000 vehicles. When the Cybertruck production starts on its separate production line, the factory&#8217;s output will get closer to its initial goal of 500K.

Tesla uses the world&#8217;s largest aluminum casting machines in the world. Italy-based iDRA designed and built 9,000-ton casting tools specifically for Tesla&#8217;s Cybertruck project. In late last year, Tesla took delivery of 66 production line robots and implemented those machineries to build auto industry&#8217;s one of the most sophisticated vehicle.
