The electric car that can be charged 64 km from the sun in one day is ready for production!
⚡#Aptera can charge 64 kilometers on a clear day through the 700W solar panels on its body. The vehicle has been awaited for three years. It is finally ready to mass production.
🔋The three-wheeled two-person vehicle comes with a 60 kWh standard battery and can be used without charging at certain times of the year. It has been made ready for production in Italy in cooperation with CPC Group.
💨The vehicle’s aerodynamic tests were carried out in the #Pininfarina wind tunnel in Italy. It will enter mass production this year and will start to be delivered to more than 2,000 reservation holders. Thus, it will receive the title of the most aerodynamic (three-wheeled?) car with 0.13 Cd.
🟢The history of Aptera is estimated to have received more than 20,000 pre-orders. The pre-orders date back to 2006. The team sets out with the idea of producing a diesel-electric motorcycle. They returned for the second time in 2019 with the idea of a fully electric model after going bankrupt in 2011.
🔌The solar car has a starting price of 25,000 dollars, promises a total of 700W power with Maxeon produced solar panels. It uses #Tesla’s NACS socket for charging. It is possible to purchase the vehicle, which can be configured with two or three hub motors, with a maximum power of 174 horsepower.
