BMW has taken its four-motor M series electric car, which it has been working on for several years, out for winter testing.
The prototype sedan, captured by CarSpyMedia, is expected to debut as the electric BMW M3 within three years.
With one motor for each wheel, the performance-oriented vehicle is anticipated to deliver up to 1 MW, or 1,361 horsepower, and provide four-wheel drive capability, offering the best handling of any BMW M model to date.
When the electric M3 hits the market, it will have a significant advantage against powerful rivals like the Porsche Taycan GT, thanks to its four-motor special drive system.
