The electric sedan IM L6, introduced last week, became one of the first vehicles to offer four-wheel steering in the $40,000 price range.

This feature, which allows the 4.9-meter sedan to have a turning radius as small as the hatchback VW Polo, provides great convenience when maneuvering in tight spaces or exiting parking spots.

The four-wheel steering capability, which also enables peculiar driving modes like crab walking seen in the video, intervenes to prevent collisions in highway situations such as sudden lane changes, similar to the moose test.

Given its facilitation of urban driving, it seems likely that many mid-to-high-end electric vehicles will incorporate this feature in the near future.
