⚡EVE Energy is one of the world’s largest lithium-ion battery manufacturers. The company announced that it will establish a joint company with Aksa Power Generation in Turkey and produce battery modules, cabins, containers and energy storage systems.

💰Details regarding the investment amount and partnership structure have not been shared yet. However, the facility to be established is expected to operate to meet the increasing need for energy storage systems Turkey, especially renewable energy power plants.

🔌Aksa Power Generation, the Turkish partner of the Chinese company, is part of Kazancı Holding. The same holding also has companies that may need batteries, such as Aksa Energy #aksen and Aksa Charge.

🟢LFP cathode cells produced by EVE in China will be used in the battery modules to be produced in Turkey. Therefore, the partnership is expected to be affected by the 30% additional customs duty recently imposed on LFP prismatic/cylindrical cells originating from the Far East. Because, in the facility that the company will establish in Hungary, NMC cathode cylindrical cells will be produced only for electric vehicles.
