Citroen e-C3

Citroen e-C3 is a fully electric hatchback, which will be offered alongside the petrol engine version of the popular compact vehicle. It will be built in India. Deliveries will start in March 2023. 
e-C3 comes with a 30.2-kWh battery pack. The battery will be supplied by the Chinese battery maker SVOLT. e-C3&#8217;s estimated range is 300-350 kilometers, according to Indian MIDC test cycle.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

#Audi has introduced its first car developed on the all-electric PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron.
The Q6 e-tron, which is priced 10% cheaper than its sibling model, the Porsche Macan EV, developed on the same platform, stands out with both more compact and lightweight electric motors and a large prismatic cell-based massive battery.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

🟢Announcing that it will convert diesel mining trucks to electric in 2021 together with #ABB, #Hitachi shared that the first vehicle has been produced.
⛏️The giant truck started to be used in a copper-gold mine in Zambia. It climbs with an electrical connection that feeds the battery, similar to a trolleybus, while going to pick up load. When turning downhill while loaded, it recharges its battery thanks to regenerative braking.
🔋In this way, ABB and Hitachi completed the transformation with a smaller one instead of a megawatt-hour battery. They made this possible thanks to the regenerative braking ability of the huge electric motors seen in the prototype photo.
🔌Mining truck&#8217;s previously had a giant internal combustion engine with 16 cylinders and 2,534 horsepower. It will relatively reduce the impact of mining on the environment by ending diesel consumption and zeroing out emissions after the conversion to electric.

⚡#Fiat will celebrate its 125th anniversary with the new Panda. According to the patent drawings, this is exactly what it will look like.
🟢It was also confirmed that the new Fiat Panda, which is known to be introduced in July 2024, will come with a fully electric engine option. The compact vehicle, developed on the Smart Car platform, just like the Citroen e-C3, will be produced at the Stellantis factory in Serbia instead of Italy.
🔌Panda EV is expected to have similar features to the electric C3. The vehicle will be much larger than the current Panda, with a length of approximately 4 meters. If it comes with a 44 kWh battery, a range of over 300 km and a price of 23,000 euros, it can carry the title of Fiat&#8217;s best-selling model for many years in the electric vehicle era.

What All-Electric Fiat Panda Will Look Like!

Promising a range of 300 kilometers with a 44 kWh LFP battery supplied by Chinese SVOLT, the vehicle comes with a 114 horsepower engine and 100 kW DC, 7.4 kW AC charging support. While there is no infotainment screen at the entry level, you have to pay an extra 400 euros for 11 kW AC support.

Citroen e-C3 is on Sale in Europe!

🟢 Speaking to Autocar at #CES2024, #Volkswagen CTO Kai Grünitz announced that the budget-friendly electric ID.1 is under development.
🔋The German company has designed an urban-focused hatchback that will be sold for less than 20,000 euros. It plans to introduce this model in 2026 by replacing the electric Volkswagen Up that the company has recently ended production.

🔌VW ID.1 was designed with a focus on cost rather than high charging speed and range and may not have even a touch screen inside. The compact car will be sold with a low-profit margin. It will serve to introduce the Volkswagen brand to the customers who will buy their first vehicle.
💰After Citroen e-C3 and Renault Twingo, Volkswagen ID.1 also shows that the market share of electric vehicles will soon increase faster in Europe thanks to budget-friendly models.

Volkswagen to Develop an EV cheaper than €20,000!

Citroen is the brand of the Stellantis group that takes action the fastest to electric vehicle conversion. It was on the agenda last week when it offered the e-C4 X for sale in Turkey. The company is preparing for the introduction of a more affordable model soon. The Citroen e-C3, whose prototype images were shared in India for the first time last year is officially introduced. The electric hatchback, which will go on sale in the near future all over the world, will debut in March 2023, notably in India.
According to Indian media, the budget-friendly electric car will come with a battery with a capacity of 30.2 kWh. Chinese SVOLT will provide the batteries, along with an electric motor that has 87 horsepower, 143 Nm of torque, and 3.3 kW of AC charging support. The electric C3, which will also provide faster DC charging, will reportedly have a range of about 217 miles/350 kilometers.

The <a href="https://www.licarco.com/citroen-ami">Citroen Ami</a> will cost less than the e-C3, which reportedly looks quite similar to its gasoline version. The model was on sale in Turkey and was less expensive than the <a href="https://www.licarco.com/citroen-e-c4">e-C4</a> and e-C4 X.
The prices of Citroen&#8217;s electric models in Turkey are as follows:
– Citroen Ami – 12,850 $/241,000 ₺
– Citroen e-C4 – 48,025 $/901.000 ₺
– Citroen e-C4 X – 48,450 $/909.000 ₺
It is feasible to state that for the electric version in Turkey, where the gasoline C3 has a starting price of 455,000 lira, the company may provide almost the same pricing due to the 10% SCT advantage. Accordingly, the Citroen e-C3 Turkey price may be in the 500-550 thousand lira band and may become the cheapest four-person electric vehicle option in the market.
