The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

Although the wagon model has a longer roof than its counterpart sedan, it is expected to have a similar powertrain and interior design in the single-engine with 282 horsepower. Volkswagen offers the ID.7 sedan with 77 and 89 kW battery packs and a range of 430 miles/692 kilometers.
As it is understood from the leaked photos, the vehicle seems ready for sale. However the company has not yet made an official statement on the subject. It seems likely that the model will go on sale early next year.

The company will invest in its Rennes plant in France, including a workshop for battery assembly and a facility specifically for plastic injection molding. <h2>The New Vehicle Would Not Be Available In Any Other Form Other Than An All-Electric Model</h2>
It&#8217;s important to remember that the giant carmaker company also controls Opel and Vauxhall, both of which produce the Grandland small SUV, which currently shares a chassis with the Peugeot and Citroen versions. The STLA Medium platform-based all-electric replacement, which will be built at the company&#8217;s facility in Eisenach, Germany, and make its debut the following year, will also replace these two variants.

Jeep already offers an electric car, at least in Europe, and it&#8217;s called the tiny <a href="https://www.licarco.com/jeep-avenger">Jeep Avenger</a>. Nevertheless, the front-wheel-drive Jeep Avenger, which isn&#8217;t sold in North America, isn&#8217;t the type of Jeep that could successfully traverse the Rubicon Trail. The Wagoneer S, another all-electric Jeep with a different target market in mind, has cars like the BMW iX in its sights. It shares the STLA Large base with the Recon and is similarly constructed, but its driving characteristics and aesthetics are tailored for city driving.
Although Jeep hasn&#8217;t provided exact information regarding the battery or charging periods, it did mention a driving range of 644 km/400 miles when it initially introduced the idea last September. That platform can support batteries up to 100 kWh. The idea also stated that it could reach 97 kmh /60 mph in under 3.5 seconds thanks to two electric motors that combined to provide 600 horsepower (608 PS) for its four wheels.

After a new battery pack is installed, the broken/old one is sent back to factories where broken modules will be replaced with good ones, and any other battery pack problems are solved.
Tesla has been using a similar approach to fix battery packs. Ideally for Tesla, all replacement batteries are remanufactured.

How Long Does an Electric Car Battery Last? How much does it cost to repair EV batteries?

Nissan demonstrated its fourth electric vehicle with a teaser video recently. It will be a successor to the iconic supermini Micra, targeting European customers. The electric hatch won&#8217;t probably be called Micra, though. It will take a new name that will show its new nature, which is purely electric.
Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi already spent €10 billion for electrification as of today. Giant alliance unveiled a new plan worth €23 billion ($26 billion), to jointly develop and produce electric vehicles. A variety of EV models ranging from compact superminis such as Nissan Micra to light-duty commercial vehicles will be designed and produced by the Franco-Japan alliance starting next year. The main manufacturing operations will be held at Renault&#8217;s latest automotive facility cluster called ElectriCity, which is located in northern France.
The Micra successor is one of the first EVs that the alliance will build by 2030. There is no clear timeline for the compact battery-electric vehicle&#8217;s launch date yet. Rumors indicate that it will be based on the same modular platform as Renault 5. Renault Zoe replacement will enter production later this year. It is safe to say that the electric variant of the Nissan Micra is also in its final development stage before mass production. Industry sources expect electric Micra to be launched by 2024.
Thanks to the collaboration between three automakers, future EVs coming from these brands will cost 30 percent less than previous models such as Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf.
