The redesigned P7, which has a new name, stunning style, and increased performance, has been introduced by Xpeng in China. The company offers two distinct powertrains as well.

Starting with the exterior, the P7i is easily recognizable despite a few small alterations. For example, the “optimization of the rear wing and windscreen” and new headlights are two of them. While crescent silver has been “upgraded to accentuate the aesthetic qualities of pioneer exploration,” the color scheme has also been revised. Consumers will also discover a brand-new, P7i-only kaitoke green option.

The inside has a new steering wheel, updated door panels, and a redesigned center console with exposed cup holders. The vehicle provides wireless smartphone charging like those used in Tesla vehicles. Also, buyers will discover revised upholstery and upgraded more ergonomic seats. A 20-speaker music system, a 15-inch infotainment system, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster connect them.

The most cutting-edge all-scenario driver assistance system in the market, the new P7i has XPENG’s unique XNGP architecture. It is capable of performing City NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot), enhanced Highway NGP, and LCC (Lane Centering Control) functions, as well as the first mass-produced cross-level parking assistance VPA (Valet Parking Assist). Its improved hardware platform, which consists of twin-LiDAR units and two NVIDIA DRIVE Orin-X SoCs with up to 508 TOPS of processing power (MAX & WING versions) – a 17-fold increase over the previous models – supports its intelligent capabilities. The P7i has a 31-sensors with 360° perception capabilities that can perform L4 ADAS tasks in some conditions.

Serious Competitor to Tesla Model3 with Advanced Features and Low Price

There are two available powertrains. The entry-level models have an electric motor located at the back. The engine generates 272 horsepower (203 kW/ 276 PS) and 324 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque. This allows the vehicle to reach a peak speed of 124 mph/200 kmh. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 kmh/0 to 62 mph in 6.4 seconds and has a CLTC range of 702 km/436 miles.

Regarding performance, the P7i has an X-HP2.0 sophisticated thermal management system with a heat pump as part of its standard equipment. According to Xpeng, this device increases the vehicle’s cooling capacity by 88.9%. It also allows it to “easily maintain a speed of 190 kmh/118 mph for 30 minutes constantly. Thus, there is no worry about battery or engine overheating. Also, people who reside in cold areas should anticipate a 15% boost in driving range duringwinter conditions.”

Moreover, XPeng notes that it is expanding its ultra-fast charging infrastructure in China swiftly. 180 of the company’s supercharging stations will get a 480kW upgrade shortly.

Prices range from $36,184/¥249,900 for the entry-level Wing Performance to $49,215/¥339,900  for the top-of-the-line model.
