With the brand-new Cyberster, which honors vintage British roadsters, MG is going back to its roots. Prior to its premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show next week, the electric car has been largely unveiled courtesy of images from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants of the Cyberster will be offered, with the twin motor type offering up to 536 horsepower (400 kW) of electric power.

Leaked design patent drawings first revealed the production version of the 2021 MG Cyberster concept in June 2022. The concept was then seen in its natural state in February 2023. The outside of the automobile is definitely appealing, and the new photographs offer us the finest look at it so far. Given that roadsters are uncommon in today’s age of SUVs, the public is likely to react positively to the MG Cyberster.

The Cyberster doesn’t clearly show any stylistic cues from the previous versions except for the two-seat arrangement and the opening roof. Sharp creases are used in the style and flow over the hood’s arched shape and through the doors.

The taillights are arrow-shaped towards the back. The lowest part features a noticeable diffuser.

A few of the alternatives that MG plans to provide are also depicted in the illustrations. There are soft toppers in black and red. Customers could choose from a variety of wheel styles and symbol designs.
