Avatr 11 is a premium Chinese-made electric SUV, originally planned to debut in Beijing Autoshow, later unveiled on the internet in August 2022.
Chinese automaker Changan Auto, tech giant Huawei, and world's biggest lithium-ion battery maker CATL partnered up for the Avatr brand.
The AWD version of the Avatr 11 offers up to 578 horsepower, more than 600 kilometers of range, and 240 kW ultra-fast DC charging.
AWD Avatr 11 pricing starts at $48,400. Larger battery option costs $56,700. Chinese brand has plans to enter both European and American markets in 2023.

Avatr is a premium EV brand that three giant Chinese companies (Changan Auto, Huawei, CATL) co-founded in 2022. Changan Auto manufactures the Avatr-branded fully electric vehicles. Huawei provides smart car technologies, ADAS systems, and mobility services. The third firm, the world’s biggest lithium-ion battery cell manufacturer CATL supplies the high-voltage battery packs for the Avatr cars. CATL is also the second largest shareholder with a 17 percent stake. Changan Auto holds around 40% of this new EV-maker.
Premium brand’s first vehicle’s called Avatr 11, designed by famous American designer Matthew M. Williams. It uses a special 750-volt high voltage electrical architecture. Thanks to this novel system, Avatr 11 supports up to 240 kW ultra-fast DC charging speeds. Its huge 116.79-kWh battery pack can be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in 25 minutes.
Avatr 11 has officially entered production in December 2022, first deliveries made a few weeks later. Mass production of the vehicle takes place at Changan Auto’s manufacturing plant in Chongqing.
Avatr 11’s Unique Features
Avatr’s premium SUV comes equipped with Huawei’s HarmonyOS operating system and HiCar autonomous drive technology, including processing units, HD cameras, radar sensor, LiDARs, etc. Avatr aims to offer not only a luxurious, comfortable, good-looking sports utility vehicle but also provide its customers with the latest automotive technologies. At first, some features were performing poorly but Avatr has been releasing software upgrades via OTA and slowly getting there to satisfy its drivers. It’s one of the most successful Chinese brands when it comes to improving the car firmware with OTA updates.
Avatr 11’s most unique feature is a LED notification area placed between the hood and the windshield. This display functions as a welcoming signage that shows up when you lock/unlock your vehicle.
Electric SUV is designed as a coupe, which means there isn’t enough space to place a properly sized rear window into the car. Instead, Avatr put a digital rear view mirror right away, eliminating any visibility complaints.
